Speech on Independence Day
A very Good Morning to one and all present here, I Wish you all Happy Independence Day. As we all know today, we have gathered here to celebrate our 73rd Independence Day. So in this special event of our Nation, I am here in front of you to deliver a short speech on Independence Day.
The date 15th August is an important day in our Indian History from the year 1947. It was the happiest day of the year 1947 when we became Independent from the British rule after many years of hard struggle and sacrifices of the Indian Freedom Fighters. When India got its independence on 15th August 1947, the public of India had chosen Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as their first Prime Minister of India who had after that unfurled the tricolor National Flag in the Red Fort in Delhi in the presence of Public of India.
All the People rejoice this special day with great joy every year as Independence Day. As usual every year on this special day of Independence our honorable prime Minister unfurled the National Flag at early morning with a great spirit and happiness in the presence of millions of people in the ceremony. And this year we are celebrating our 73rd Independence Day.
During the celebration of Independence Day at Red Fort, New Delhi the Indian Army and Cultural events perform many tasks including March Past by the school students are also presented. And during the hosting of the National Flag and all the public join in singing the National Anthem. After that, the honorable Prime Minister gives his valuable and annual speech on this special occasion.
As an Indian, we should feel proud of this day because on this day we got all the fundamental rights and freedoms led our country. Today we have the full rights to chose our Government and enjoy the largest democracy in the world. Our Country is the most famous country for the saying of unity in diversity. And now it is our responsibility to lead this country ahead and make it a better country.
We cannot forget about the sacrifices of the Great Indian Freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Subhas Chandra Bose, Gandhiji etc. who had fought for the freedom of this country and sacrifices their life.
And we cannot forget the great lesson of Non-Violence which has been taught by our great personality Gandhiji; we will always keep those Freedom fighters in our heart. We Cannot imagine those horrible moments struggled by our forefathers. We Should Celebrate this day with a lot of enthusiasm and joy everywhere.
And as an Indian, we should feel proud for this day and for the Freedom Fighters who had sacrificed their lives for this motherland, and we should also take an oath on this special day to keep ourself patriotic and loyal to save our mother homeland from any Attack and humiliation by the other people.
